Jim Omollo is a seasoned finance professional with over seven years of experience supporting NGOs, SMEs, and consulting firms in bookkeeping, tax compliance, donor reporting, grant compliance, and operational process improvement. He has managed multi-currency project portfolios, optimized financial systems, implemented modern accounting tools, and strengthened compliance frameworks across diverse organizations. Jim is known for providing dependable financial oversight, clear and timely reporting, and strategic advisory services that enhance operational efficiency while building strong partner and donor confidence. Currently serving as the Head of Accounting Services at Keldine & Co. LLP (Sofia Platforms) since October 2025, Jim supports NGO clients with donor reporting, grant compliance, and financial oversight through the Sofia SaaS platform. He designs charts of accounts, uploads and codes budgets, and improves reporting consistency for clients. His role also includes providing bookkeeping services, performing bank and account reconciliations, managing payroll, and ensuring statutory compliance for both NGO and SME clients. In this capacity, he serves as Manager, Accounting Services, leading engagements and overseeing financial operations for multiple clients. Previously, Jim worked with BayCount Consultants from January to August 2020 and again from December 2023 to September 2025 as a Finance Consultant. During this time, he implemented QuickBooks Online and Xero systems, improving reporting timelines by 40 percent. He provided strategic Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) support to enhance cash-flow management, regulatory compliance, and financial modeling. He also managed payroll processing and statutory deductions to ensure full regulatory compliance, supported clients during external audits, and implemented audit recommendations to strengthen internal controls and financial reporting systems. Between December 2022 and November 2023, Jim served as a Financial Analyst and Finance Consultant at the Alliance of Bioversity International and CIAT. In this role, he managed 15 multi-currency donor-funded projects valued at USD 10.3 million across 27 partners in 11 countries, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with donor requirements, and effective coordination across international stakeholders.
